This page gives you a list of some key places within our website where you can find tips and ideas for planning and enjoying family schedules and/or routines for home education! 🙂
- Free Homeschool Planning Guides – printable planners, charts, lists
- Year-at-a-Glance Planning Chart Method (This method is recommended for first-time homeschoolers and/or families with lots of things happening in a year (e.g. new baby, move, long-term illness, renos, etc.). It’s still one of my favourites too!) It is the idea behind this “Year-at-a-Glance” product in our shop too.
- One of My Favourite Weekly HS Schedules (General Overview) – intended to help to refresh “seasoned homeschool” or “large-family” moms…. This series of posts comes from the perspective of a homeschool mom with a very wide range of levels (e.g. K-11/12). First-year homeschooling schedules of 1-2 students WON’T look likely like this but there are ideas and printables within these posts which might be of use to older moms looking for fresh tips. (If you want the simpler version, read the link above this one instead.) I provide details on “life” with that type of “schedule” on these posts:
Additional Help for Schedules and Routines:
Amy Roberts, another homeschool mom/blogger, has written and spoken on the area of schedules and routines very well. I highly recommend her website to you as well! (Click on her name for that link.)
(Full Disclosure: This is not an affiliate link. I do not receive any compensation for recommending her website or products to you. However, she has mentioned my blog/website within a course of hers as a good example of a “routine” type of schedule (i.e. the blog post series for Monday, Tuesday, etc. as listed above) so you might see my name briefly there.)
