Additional Help for Parenting:
The Word In Our Hearts:
In 2021, we began a ministry website specifically for audio sermons. Listen as a family to the Bible messages at “The Word In Our Hearts“. Some sermons already offer free printable colouring or activity pages which coordinate with the message! Learn more about this website at our blog post here. I have several favourite series but the best sermon I can recommend for anyone looking for a better way of living in their family (marriage/children) is called “The Filling of the Spirit” by Dr. Charles U. Wagner at this link. Dr. Wagner spoke similar at “Homebuilders” retreats. (He presents this in a plain and simple way.)
Teaching to Change Lives/The Seven Laws of the Teacher:
Written and presented by Dr. Howard Hendricks, this book and DVD series teaches parents and teachers how to be highly-effective parents and teachers. This is the best Christian teaching/parenting resource we have found over the years! We have had the book in our shop. You can also find these currently through christianbook dot com’s website. These are excellent!
“Teach Them Diligently”:
(Full Disclosure: This link is NOT an affiliate link. I can offer my audience a discount of $30 off the regular price (use code “JOY”) because I have been personally part of this ministry and recommend it but I do not receive compensation for that discount. I just like to promote TTD! ? For a TTD event where I am a speaker, then there is an affiliate link for that event. But the link below is NOT an affiliate link even though clicking it will lead you out of our website.)
Teach Them Diligently is a large, Christian ministry with over 2000 audios or videos from past homeschool conferences in the USA on their membership website. There are many insightful and practical sessions to listen to, as parents, or for moms only, or for dads only. An annual membership of a very reasonable cost provides these audios for no additional costs plus the opportunity to join a “TTD365 community group” which chat/text and/or meet monthly over Zoom with other ordinary moms who share with each other about “real life” informally and learning from one another as friendships grow. (Additionally, there are self-paced online courses (e.g. “Heartschool”) offered as training for homeschool parents if you want something more structured to work through.)
In my opinion, since being a part of Teach Them Diligently for a number of years, this is the best value for homeschool parents wanting specific help in the area of marriage, parenting, planning homeschooling, juggling various life experiences and expectations with a variety of ages and situations.
To find out more, go to Teach Them Diligently and click on the top tab called “Membership“.
