About the 7/16″, 5/16″. 4/16″, and 3/16″ ruled exercise books: Unlike the dotted or plain exercise books found in department stores, these are the 40-page blank SCHOOL exercise books ruled with “red-blue-blue-red” lines. The lines help to guide students who are beginning to print letters or write in cursive. Space between the lines range from wide (e.g. for Kindergarten level) to narrow (e.g. for Grade 3/4 level). Size and orientation of the books are either 9”x7” “landscape” (longest measurement is across the top/bottom) or 7”x9” “portrait” (longest part of book is along the right/left sides).
