Description
To see the descriptions of each of these printable e-books, please go to the following links: 🙂
Let Me Read: Step 1 (for young beginners, e.g. kindergarten) – goals: learn about letter sounds, sight words, read simple rebus sentences, etc.
Let Me Read: Step 2 (for any age who need to know “how-to” read, e.g. senior kindergarten or students needing help with reading well) – expand vocabulary and confidence in reading books!
Let Me Read: Step 3 (for young readers who are eager to not just read, but also begin spelling, reading comprehension, written phonics, yet still need mostly non-written activities to strengthen literacy skills, e.g. grade 1 or other primary grade levels)
And here is a little bit about the other e-books which have been worked on but will take more time to complete and finalized. Please check back occasionally throughout the year to see if these are up yet…
Let Me Read: Step 4 (not yet available – grade 2 spelling, comprehension, phonics, review of literacy since by now, should be confidently reading picture storybooks with lots of words and has begun likely reading chapter books/interesting novels; this level is intended to help with a smoother transition between the Let Me Read curriculum and the Reading Sticks curriculum.)
Reading Sticks: Step 5 (not yet available – grade 3 level; reviews concepts of “how to read” but has switched the focus of reading lessons to comprehension skills/analytical understanding/expression.)
Reading Sticks: Step 6 (not yet available – grade 4/5 level; this level is intended to complete the basics of literary terms and skills.)
Literature Sticks (Grades 5-12) (not yet available) – outlines, forms, guidance/ideas for putting reading skills into good practice and growing with it.
