Description
This resource is a printable e-book atlas study.
Years ago, students were marked in their ability to read and transfer specific information from an atlas to an outline map by drawing on it and labeling it. These skills of accuracy and neatness in map copywork are not often taught anymore but this is a teaching resource that does just that.
Photocopy the hand-drawn map of Canada several times, give one map with each assignment (included) to your students, provide a Canadian atlas, then watch them grow in confidence as THEY draw the curve of the rivers, where the cities are, boundaries of the time zones, etc.
Most of the book was designed for Grade 6 and up although a few lessons are suitable for grade 4.
