Description
This curriculum gives the young student foundational understanding of the variety of water and land features, and people who live in our big world.
While Part A contains the main curriculum, there are coordinating mission-related lessons in Part B and simple ideas for some Canadian celebrations throughout the year in Part C. Simple materials found in most homes are required to complete the children around the world lessons (e.g. fabric scraps).
Use of the internet is optional but access to some information books (your choice from your home or local library) and/or the encyclopedia is needed.
Study about Rivers, Lakes, Oceans, Mountains, Lowlands, Tundra, Deserts, Prairie/Grasslands, Forests, Continents, Canada and 30+ countries, Languages, Food, Clothing, Shelter, and More.
Some D.W. Emke artwork is included. Occasional reference to God or the Bible is throughout this curriculum too although many pages could be comfortably used in secular classrooms or homeschools.
The printed books (1st or 2nd edition) are reproducible for individual families and single classrooms; unbound 3-hole punched format. (There were just a handful of changes, for example, in web links, layout, fonts, and graphics for the second edition.)
The e-book is the 2nd edition and comes with an end-user license agreement (no expiry date). It is in pdf format, printable on 8 1/2 x 11″ paper. 135 pages.
The sample pages AND the short video show our 2nd edition.
(Please see our Pinterest board for optional supplementary material which might be mentioned in this curriculum (e.g. missions videos for kids).)
