Proverbs 147 2712

“Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.”
Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NKJV)

I have discussed some of this topic within a post written a couple of years ago (“Management of the Bucket Part 2”.) Someday perhaps I’ll combine both somehow.

First, a note…

There is also a note on the ‘EMF MCS Start Here” page which I will restate here:

Many places which offer true scientific facts about EMFs also can be supportive of occultic, pagan practices to try to improve symptoms and provide a cure. This is very deceptive and confusing and they are not necessarily aware that they are promoting both true science and false science. The Bible teaches that Christians can be also deceived when they are not on their guard against evil too but the non-Christian is devoid of God’s protection that He provides to His followers (e.g. Ephesians 6:10-182 Corinthians 4:4). So we shouldn’t expect that just because something is called “science”, that it actually IS science. Like those in Berea (Acts 17:11), we need to continue to carefully discern truth from error, and not just believe all the “stuff” we hear, just because we know that some of what has been said in the past has been true.

This issue is becoming even more an issue in the field of EMFs and health so I want to add an extra warning to be careful in what you look at for “help” or “solutions” or “seminars”. This warning includes to places (professionals, businesses) that I have linked to on my EMF brochure [brochure #1] or within my blogs since at least some of these, are becoming more confused with pagan influences as time goes on. Study the truth from the Bible and remember what you learned in old-fashioned science classes on how energy works physically.

I’ve also tried to put some of the basic points of this issue in a brochure about my perspective on energy healing [brochure#2] (click here to download it) to help you to stay alert and avoid getting trapped into false ideology and practices that promise “freedom” but in the end, result in a bondage to beliefs that do not honour Jesus Christ. (cf. 2 Peter 2:19 and its surrounding verses)

Today, while I was looking for a totally different article, I found a printout of some more notes I had around here on this topic and thought I’d stick them in my blog…

A summary followed by quotes from other Christians…

  1. Yes, electromagnetic physical energies CAN (and do, for example in my life) effect human health but that those electromagnetic forces are NOT spiritual, nor can they be actually healed scientifically by a spiritual manipulation.
  2. Any presumed healing that goes on using a “vital force” method is self-deception and/or demonic and people should stay clear of even trying those “solutions” based on the underlying philosophies.
  3. The Bible gives us clear direction to avoid deception and not even give a little foothold to the devil (Ephesians 4:27, 5:6-17). The devil deceived Eve by telling her about the self-empowerment and divinity she could obtain if she would listen to him (Genesis 3:4-6, 13-14).
Proverbs 14 7 to 9

Examples of mocking at sin:

  1. If they think sin isn’t real or important.
  2. If they think sin isn’t a spiritual problem.
  3. If they think people (self or others) can save themselves.
  4. If they think it isn’t wrong to offend the holy God.
  5. If they think they want to become a god.
  6. If they think they are in charge of their own destiny, regardless of their decision of accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ as described in the Bible.
  7. If they purposely seek a different Saviour from sin.

“Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED BY YOU BUILDERS, WHICH HAS BECOME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”

Acts 4:10-13 NKJV

It’s true that it is difficult to find Christians speaking out about the specific application of energy healing for electromagnetic (physical energy) sensitivities. However, I have been able to find quotes from some who speak or write on why energy healing and similar philosophies/practices stand in adversity to a Biblical worldview. This is because the foundations of the energy healing ideologies are not really about healing one’s body – that is just surface-talk (often confusing) and marketing strategy to build trust. Actually, these instead have the goal of changing one’s mind/beliefs about God and eternity ahead. This is why we need to turn away – it really isn’t helpful to us!

I’ll end this post with three examples of quotes from others that I thought were well-written and then a few Bible verses.

(This first quote I arranged the author’s points into list format instead of paragraph style.)

“[What New Age/New Spirituality believes is that] all of the healing systems that can be called ‘holistic’ share a common belief in the universe as a unified field of energy that produces all form and substance… To enhance the flow of “healing energy” in the body, one must allegedly attune to it and realize one’s unity with all things. Many New Age health therapies are based on this premise. This monistic and pantheistic worldview is entirely at odds with a Christian worldview, which sees an eternal distinction between God the Creator and the creation (Genesis 1; Isaiah 44:24; Colossians 1:16)….

The Christian, of course, must not participate in such forms of [Eastern] meditation for at least three reasons…

  1. goal of transforming one’s state of mind into a monistic (all is one) if not an outright pantheistic (all is God) outlook lies in direct contradiction to the biblical view of the eternal distinction between God the Creator and His creatures (Isaiah 44:6-8; Hebrews 2:6-8).
  2. … goal is to provide the practitioner a way (if not the way) to ultimate truth and freedom through sheer human effort, thus advocating a form of self-salvation by works over and against what the Bible explicitly teaches (Ephesians 2:8-9)…(Romans 3:10-12). [This] denies Christ’s exclusive claim that He alone provides the way to salvation (John 14:6; cf. Acts 4:12; Isaiah 43:11).
  3. …altered states of consciousness can open one up to spiritual affliction and deception….” (end of quote)

The above quote is from Rhodes, Ron. The Complete Book of Bible Answers: Answering the Tough Questions, Harvest House Publishers, 1997, from pp. 283-284.

“The word nephesh, which in its original usage meant “breath,” is used in the Old Testament to cover a range of related concepts including “life,” “soul,” and “person.” In the light of all usages of the word (and the New Testament usages of the parallel Greek word psuché), we must conclude that what God breathed into man was his soul: the nonphysical (and thus nonscientifically testable) part of his nature. Because all of man’s parts are interrelated, his physical body is animated. But his life is seated within his soul; it is distinct from the electromagnetic forces at work in his physical being and cannot be manipulated in any therapeutic approach.

…Since pantheists believe that nothing is ultimately physical, they easily blur the distinctions between physical and spiritual entities — distinctions that are critical to the Christian…. Thus, for them, bioenergy takes on properties beyond anything science has found in electromagnetism… Ultimately, vitalism is considered scientific…. because the spiritual realm itself is considered scientific in their pantheistic world view.

It would appear that Christians are doomed to failure when they attempt to fit the vital energy of energetic medicine into a Christian context. Yes, there are energies which radiate throughout the universe and permeate and surround our physical bodies, and there are respects in which these energies are significant to health and health care. But they are physical, not vital, forces. Yes, there is a “vital force” which animates our bodies, but this is localized within our souls. It is not a cosmic energy that flows into our bodies, passes through various channels (e.g., meridians, chakras), and then flows back out into the universe. Thus, it [a vital force] cannot be obstructed; nor is there a need to “release” or “balance” it.” (end of quote)

The above quoted is from web article The Christian, Energetic Medicine, “New Age Paranoia” | Christian Research Institute ( by Elliot Miller, USA, June 9, 2009, Retrieved March 1, 2019.

“The four tests below can help discern practices which may be effective in bringing about healing but which may not be acceptable to the created order of God.1. If the healing is of a supernatural nature, employing procedures which transcend the laws of nature, involving some miracle or miraculous event, and not performed in the same manner as healing which has been described in Scripture, it is probably not of God.2. If the healing is associated with, or derived from, a pagan religion which is not biblical Christianity, it may be a fraudulent spirit doing the healing. 3. If the healing is apparently neutral as far as spiritual or religious connections are concerned but it uses methods which are not utilizing God’s created order, e.g., it is not according to the natural law of anatomical or physiological circuitry, it is probably the work of a fraudulent spirit.(It should be noted that prayer to the Living God can be used in healing, even though it is not a method following God’s created order of anatomical circuitry. The important thing to ask is, to whom are we praying? God can and will heal through prayer, but so does Satan through his false spirits if prayers are directly or indirectly focused away from God.)4. If the healing utilizes occult energy fields and forces which are associated with astrology, occult practices, animal magnetism, energy balancing, hypnotism, mind control, etc. it may be working with a fraudulent spirit. Note: Anyone who claims to be holistic and who claims to perform acts of healing on the whole man — body, mind, soul and spirit — is claiming something which only the Spirit of God is able to do. Acts of healing of the body only, are within the power of Satan and his followers but Christ’s healing was more spiritual than it was physical and involved the spirit of man as well as the body. This, man, in his natural state, just cannot do and neither can Satan.” (end of quote)

The above is quoted from webpage CCA New Age Statement (, by The Christian Chiropractors Association Inc., Colorado, USA, Retrieved April 6, 2022.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 (NKJV)

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all…”
1 Timothy 2:3-6 (NKJV)

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
Colossians 2:6-10 (NKJV)
